Patented Self-Concealed Shower Base Unit

At Bellport Marble International, we make self-concealed shower base units. These units are concealed with tile, resin, and limestone.

• The purpose of the self-concealed shower base unit is to eliminate the need for a lead or vinyl pan.
• Typically, a tile installer would use sand and cement to lay the tile, and once it’s dried, they would grout it.
• Our bases have no grout and no vinyl/lead pan. They are bacteria-free, easy to clean, and color-coordinated.

How the Self-Concealed Unit is Made

• We conceal the unit.
• We take the tile and flip it upside down onto our mold.
• We then pour our mixture of resin, limestone, and hardener.
• Once poured into the concealed unit mold, we let it cure for one hour, then remove it from the mold.
• After removing the product from the mold, we let it cure for an additional 3 hours.
• Once cured, after 3 hours, we apply epoxy where the grout lines would normally go, instead of using regular grout.
• The epoxy takes one hour to dry, and then the product is complete.

Total Production Time: 5 hours

• 35-inch threshold.
• 3/8 inch interago stops, which are approximately 1 inch high.
• Made to order, any shape, size, dimensions, etc.
• Can use any tile.
